The amount of hyaluronic acid that we produce begins to decline with age, which can result in sagging and a loss of volume to the buttock area. Hyaluronic acid is a safe and natural substance that is used in many cosmetic treatments, such as lip and cheek fillers, due to its instant hydrating and volumising effect.

After Care
We advise the following aftercare measures for the best results:
- Keep the area clean.
- Wear shaper shorts for 3 days to relieve swelling.
- Avoid taking blood thinning medications such as aspirin (Please consult your doctor if it is safe to do so).
- Avoid swimming, sun exposure. sunbeds, sauna or baths for 2 weeks.
- Buttocks - Refrain from sleeping on the back for one week. The filler needs time to settle in place and sleeping on your back can disrupt placement.
- Hips - Refrain from sleeping on your sides for one week. The filler needs time to settle in place and sleeping on your hips can disrupt placement.
- Exercising should be avoided for 2 weeks. The filler needs time to settle in place and exercise can disrupt the placement of the filler.
- Buttocks - Do not sit for more than 45 minutes at one time following the treatment. Stand up frequently to relieve pressure on the incisions.
- Wear a tight fitting garment such as leggings or shaper shorts for 3 days following treatment.
- Only take Paracetamol for pain relief, do NOT take aspirin or Ibuprofen.
- Once incisions are healed, gently massage the area in circular motion using palm of hand for 3 mins per day with clean hands to promote migration into the fat tissue.
- Icing the treatment area will help with redness and swelling.

What happens during the procedure?
During this treatment, the hyaluronic acid filler is carefully injected into the buttock area by our expert aesthetician, using a fine cannula. The amount of filler used can be adjusted to suit the volume that the patient wishes to add to their bum.
Buttock injectables are administered under local anaesthetic, therefore unable to feel any pain as the buttock area will be completely numbed. The procedure takes around an hour or two to complete. The tiny series of injections are usually completely invisible once they have healed.
