The Candela Gentle Max Pro sets the gold standard for laser hair removal. It is an innovative new piece of technology often called the Rolls Royce of laser hair removal. It successfully combines two lasers, Candela Alexandrite laser for light skin type and the Candela Nd: YAG laser for dark skin types, which has numerous benefits.

CANDELA LASER TREATMENT IN LONDON

We are performing Candela laser treatments in our calm enclave clinic in North London. We have opted for this US manufactured brand over other brands like Soprano. This is based on the results we have witnessed first hand and also our clients sharing their experiences and results using our Candela technology.

The Gentlemax Pro is the latest laser from Candela and we can offer this revolutionary laser to our clients at affordable prices.

WHAT CANDELA TREATS

The Candela Gentle Max Pro is not only a device capable of removing unwanted body hair. It can also treat:

  • Skin tightening
  • Pigmentations (Beauty spots)
  • Leg and Face veins

The Laser Skin Tightening treatment uses an intense beam of light that penetrates deep into the skin tissues to deliver a controlled amount of therapeutic heat. The collagen cells within the treated area absorb the heat and create contractions within the collagen. This process then creates the possibility of firmer and tighter skin.

Magni Skin wants you to have optimal results; therefore, we recommend weekly workouts and a well-hydrated body in conjunction with this treatment.

The Candela laser is designed to treat superficial brown blemishes and is also effective in removing other brown marks like café au lait patches, Nevus of Ito, freckles and flat-pigmented moles.

Candela GentleMax Pro can target and eliminate veins and vascular lesions resulting in more youthful, bright and radiant skin. Candela GentleMax Pro is safe for men and women and can be used on the face and legs to get rid of unwanted veins.

FAQ's

We’ll use a small handpiece to deliver an intense but gentle burst of energy onto targeted areas of the skin. Therapeutic heat then removes unwanted hair.

Yes! Other laser hair removal treatments don’t cater to all skin types, but there’s a Gentle Hair Removal treatment that’s right for you, no matter what your skin tone.

Laser hair removal is suitable for darker skin types. We use the ND: Yag laser for Asian and Black skin. This laser penetrates deeper than most lasers, missing the upper layers of skin where the skin pigment lies, therefore it is one of the safest lasers on the market for laser hair removal and side effects are very low!

A treatment can take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the treatment area and the condition being treated. Both legs can often be treated in as few as 15 minutes.

Some patients may feel slight discomfort, this discomfort resolves quickly and is minimised by our Cooling Device.

The heat only hits the hair not the entire skin like waxing does, so most clients find laser a lot less painful and faster per session than waxing! As we destroy more hair it will become less painful!

No, the thicker and darker the hair the better for laser! If you have hormonal hair you will still see great results, but more frequent top-ups will be needed.

Usually a course of 6 – 8 sessions is required to achieve the full hair removal effect. That’s because hair grows in three stages:
Anagen (the growth stage). Hair is thickest and darkest, so laser treatments are most effective.
Catagen (the transitional stage). The hair begins to loosen from its follicle.
Telogen (the shedding stage). The hair falls out to make room for new growth.
The hairs on your body are not always at the same stage, so you’ll need to undergo a few treatments, an average of six weeks apart, to catch them all in the growth stage.

For about six weeks prior to treatment, you should avoid plucking, electrolysis or waxing. On the day of your treatment, skin should be clean-shaven and thoroughly cleansed of any makeup, creams, oils, topical anesthetics or self-tanning products. Apply sunblock (SPF 30 or above) before your treatment.
Do not expose the treatment area to sunlight or tanning booth light prior to or immediately after treatment. If you have a history of herpes simplex virus, a prophylactic antiviral therapy may be prescribed.

A cool compress may be applied for additional comfort after your treatment. Any redness or swelling should resolve in a few hours.

Do not use sunbeds if you are having laser hair removal it can increase chances of side effects. Fake tan can be used up to 3 weeks prior to the next session but must all be removed or we will have to rebook your appointment. If you tan in the sun you will have to exfoliate the skin you are having treated and re book for a skin test.

You must be at your natural skin tone for every session. If you tan easily, you need to be more cautious as it can affect the frequency of your treatments and therefore the results.

Side effects are rare and may include redness, swelling, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, blistering and purpura (laser bruise) in the treated area these usually do not last more than a few days.

Important Information

Laser Hair Removal Prep:

  • Shaving within 12 hours before your treatment will remove the necessary amount of hair growth to avoid stinging during the procedure. Unlike waxing, we do not need to see the outer growth of the hair to remove it.
  • Skin should be free of any fake tan and it’s vital not to undergo sun or tanning bed exposure before laser hair removal. Wear a high factor SPF and keep the skin thoroughly moisturised.
  • For laser hair removal to work, there needs to be a hair follicle present. Do not wax, pluck or epilate for up to 4 weeks before treatment. Shaving is acceptable, as this does not eliminate the hair follicle beneath the surface of the skin.
  • Before a treatment of laser hair removal, make sure that your skin is clean, dry and free from any cosmetics, lotions, and deodorants or make up.
  • Wear loose and comfy clothing to your appointment so that you can easily expose the areas to be treated and feel comfortable after the session.

Laser Hair Removal Aftercare:

  • Do not pluck or wax any hair on the area that was treated. This can disrupt the treatment process and stimulate the hair follicle, leading to potential regrowth.
  • Exfoliate the area when any redness has subsided. This will be approximately one to two weeks after your appointment.
  • Avoid extremely hot baths, showers or steam rooms for at least 48 hours, post-treatment.
  • Apply a vitamin E cream or oil if any pigmentation or discoloration occurs. This will help to soothe the skin.
  • Avoid direct sunlight for at least two to four weeks following your treatment.
  • Mineral make-up may be used on any facial areas treated with laser hair removal. To avoid any irritation, other cosmetics should be avoided until the skin has had time to heal.
  • Avoid the use of deodorants for at least three days after your treatment, to avoid irritation of the skin.
  • Itching is a rare side effect of laser hair removal. However, if this occurs, it’s important not to scratch the affected area as this can break the skin, causing a scab, which could lead to scarring.
  • Avoiding excessive exercise for up to 48 hours following treatment will minimise any irritation.

Good laser hair removal aftercare is vital for the best results. Yes, this treatment is the most effective way to permanently reduce excess and unwanted hair, but your aftercare is required to deliver essential care to the skin and maintain a flawless finish.
